We carry out surveys to locate and diagnose the presence of asbestos-containing materials in buildings and installations and the evaluation of asbestos associated risks

  • Our objective is making an inventory of all the present materials containing asbestos, as well as to study the different risk levels for people involved and the environment.
  • Our surveys are being carried out in accordance with the UNE 171370-2 standard of January 2021, to locate and diagnose the presence of asbestos containing materials and evaluate the associated risks.

Sampling

We carry out sampling and subsequent analysis of:

  • Suspected asbestos-containing materials
  • Contaminated soils
  • Water samples

Prior sampling a study is being realized, according to the different types of materials present in the inspection area.
Once the provided floor plans have been studied, the survey will be initiated and several samples will be taken in the different areas suspected of containing asbestos.
Afterwards these samples will be analysed in an approved laboratory to determine the presence or absence of asbestos in the materials.

Realisation and environmental air samples analysis

The objective is to determine whether there are airborne asbestos fibres in the designated area. A BUREAU AMIANTO CONTROL technician will go to the project area to carry out the air sampling, which will then be analysed in an authorized laboratory and the results will be detailed in a report.
The environmental sampling strategies will be realized following the recommendations of the MTA/MA-051/A04 guideline.

Buildings Inventory for local councils

We carry out surveys of asbestos containing facilities for local councils, as required by Directive 7/2022 of April 8 on waste and contaminated soils for a circular economy.

Training

Good training for personnel is the best way to avoid risks related to the exposure of asbestos. BUREAU AMIANTO CONTROL offers a “Basic course on asbestos and its risks” aimed at making workers, labour inspectors, demolition companies and authorities aware of the problems of asbestos and its risk levels for people involved and the environment.

Project control management

We provide on-site project control management, such as calculating the sort and amount of equipment necessary to achieve the correct negative pressure necessary in friable asbestos projects, decontamination containment start-up advice and asbestos removal quality control.
